I’m really excited about this theme, because it’s based on the work I made for The 3 Inch Canvas Exhibition ‘Art on Mobiles’ which is happening right now! The Grand opening was last week at Hub Helsinki, and this week you can see the art works at Nokia Flagship Store in Helsinki, Finland. I’ve also promised to be there next Saturday, September 11. so come to see some art and say hi if you are nearby

The theme is now first published for 5th editions only, but the 3rd edition version is coming soon. I just need to make some modifications to the wallpaper first so it will fit on all screen sizes…

The original art project theme is designed with default icons, but I’ve added custom icons version also (icons by Blue_Ray). The theme contains full 9-piece SVG elements (except the wallpaper).

And for those who can’t come to the exhibition… The work will be published on the net at some point so you can see it also

By the way, this is the first theme that is downloadable directly as sis-file (not zip as before), so please tell me if there’s any problems with it. If all goes well, I will upload all the themes as sis-files in the future (and also the old ones at some point).

The big day is almost here!

The 3 Inch Canvas exhibition is a part of Helsinki Design Week and the exhibition grand opening is at Hub Helsinki, Finland on August 31, 2010 at 18:00. So take a friend with you and come to the opening to enjoy some unique art and maybe also meet the artists! Or of course you can visit later as well, the exhibition stays at Hub Helsinki until September 4.

So share this post or download the invitation and email it to your friends or that special someone and come and join us at Hub Helsinki!

…And if you can’t come to Hub Helsinki, don’t worry. Because after the Hub, the exhibition moves to Nokia Flagship Store on September 6 – September 11. But I give you more information about that later..

By the way, my new free theme will based on the art piece that is shown at the exhibition and it will be published on August 31 when also the grand opening is. So even if you can’t come to the exhibition, you can still be a part of the happening by downloading the theme

This time I wanted to make a light colored theme, so you could use it in bright summer conditions

I found this great online painting tool which helped me to create the wallpaper, so big thanks goes to Peter Blaškovič. And of course thanks to Travis for the icons!

The theme contains full SVG elements and there’s again two slightly different versions, one with semi-transparent pop-up windows (better for S60 5th editions) and one with non-transparent windows (better compatibility on S60 3rd editions).

There’s a little update for Red Sheen on Black 3rd edition versions. The update improves the Notes app text visibility.

You guys have requested this theme for a long time and it’s finally here!

Red Sheen on Black is basically a redesigned Red Sheen theme, but with black wallpaper, SVG elements and improved functionality. It has separate versions for 3rd and 5th edition devices and especially the versions with default icons are very lightweight.

Icons and some theme elements are made by Blue_Ray and Dhanusaud.
