Sauromatum Design is expanding again! In addition to the Facebook, you can now follow me also on Twitter and know what’s happening on daily basis at the Sauromatum.com and behind the scenes
Also, if you think that I should follow You on Twitter (or Facebook), drop me a line…
The site is growing fast and you can now follow Sauromatum Themes also on Facebook.
So become a fan and you always know what’s happening!
I was recently interviewed at the 3 Inch Canvas, a great organisation that is dedicated to promoting all kinds of visual arts on mobile phones.
We talked about themes as an art form, how artists could display their work on mobiles and also about my background. So take a look if you want a little peek to behind the scenes
There seems to be a lot of people viewing the site through their phones and I know this site could be quite heavy to use with a mobile browser. So I added a simplified, more mobile-friendly version of the site (suitable also for other low speed connections) available at m.sauromatum.com. Site also detects if it’s browsed through mobile and asks which version you prefer to use. If you have used the desktop version before and wanna change to mobile version, you might have to clear browser cookies first, because site remembers your last choice and directs you automatically to previous used version.
The mobile version still needs some fine tuning and plugin configuration, but should however be functional and ready to use. I would gladly hear how it works and please tell me if you have any problems or suggestions how to improve the performance. Downloading themes directly to phone is also possible, but at the moment files will be delivered as zip-files. In order to unzip the files on the phone, you might need an 3rd party app (there are free mobile apps with that function, try e.g. DrJukkas Y-Browser with Zip plug-in).
So, do you think that the mobile version is useful to you and which version of the site you prefer to use?

Ok, the site is now moved to better server and the domain is also changed. The old site is still functional for some period, but all new material will be added only on the new site, so
Please use the new site and update also your bookmarks to www.sauromatum.com
Pages seems to load much faster now and there shouldn’t be any problems with downtimes in the future. Hopefully I got all the links, files, etc. to right places, but please inform me if something isn’t working…
Phew… Sorry about the downtime on the site. There have been so much traffic lately that I’ve decided to upgrade to more powerfull hosting service, this should solve the problems. At the same time the site URL is going to change to www.sauromatum.com (so update your bookmarks). Hopefully the migration doesn’t affect to the site functions, but there might occur some malfunctions during the update. So please be patient and thanks for keeping this site so active that all this has to be done!
There’s a page upgrade going on at the moment. This might effect some functions and the appearance of the page during the update.
